OUR STORY

​Mārtiņš Rītiņš

With his famous saying

“Kas var būt labāks par šo?’’

[What can be better than this?]

he refers to returning to his family, the restaurant Vincents.

A home to his master cuisine developed out of a small cafe and exhibition space back in 1994. Everyone who knows Mārtiņš, knows that his positivness, bravery and love for local, quality products comes first.

With his participation into Slowfood movement inspired by Alice Waters’ Chez Panisse he introduced the importance of organic, seasonally grown produces to Latvian people.

For this reason, restaurant Vincents proudly states that we source only 100% organic fruits and vegetables.

Our chef Māris Mauriņš chooses each ingredient thoughtfully and devotes a special attention to their origin.

“Freshness is above all”, thinks Māris and makes sure all produce
come straight from the farms – be it herbs, vegetables fish or meat.


His journey into the world of cooking started in early childhood when he found himself being passionate about quality food, new tastes and mastery of cooking. What started effortlessly as a hobby has grown into a career and employment in the best London restaurants before Mārtiņš Rītiņš convinced him Vincents is the place to be and grow.


Māris admits it is the most satisfying feelings ever to see people enjoy food and appreciate the creativity aspect in cooking and food design.

And, if paired with the best wines, his dishes will acquire yet another level of excellence!
